Who are the therapists on MatchyMatch?

All therapists are licensed and verified - registered with a recognised UK body (HCPC, BACP, BPS, or UKCP) or an equivalent national professional body in their own country. Many of our therapists are experienced, English-speaking professionals based elsewhere in Europe. Wherever they are registered, we check their credentials and indemnity insurance and interview each one personally. We select them based on their experience, training, therapeutic approach, and client feedback.

Each therapist sets their own fee, which is shown in their profile before you book. You'll see the price upfront and there are no hidden charges from MatchyMatch.

Is the discovery call really free?

Yes, discovery calls are 100% free. You can have as many as you need with as many therapists as you want until you find the right match. There's no obligation to continue after a discovery call.

How do I pay for sessions?

Payments are handled online by card, on the platform. You can pay per session or top up your account balance. There are no subscriptions and no long-term commitments.

Are there discounts or session packages?

Some therapists offer multi-session packages at a discount. We also run occasional promotions. The easiest way is to ask the therapist directly during the discovery call.

Is therapy covered by health insurance?

It depends on your plan. Many private health insurers cover some or all of the cost of sessions with a registered therapist. We can issue a receipt for each session that you can submit to your insurer.

Usually within 24 hours of finishing the questionnaire we'll be in touch on WhatsApp. After that conversation, we'll send you therapist recommendations the same day or the day after.

No. The tests are screening tools, not diagnostic tools. They give you a snapshot of your symptoms but only a qualified clinician can make a diagnosis. The results can help you decide whether seeking professional support is a good idea.

Only you. Results are shown immediately on your screen and aren't saved unless you create an account. You can choose to share them with your therapist if you want.
