Cookie Policy
Last updated: 2026-05-17
This policy explains how MatchyMatch (operated by Thrive Haven Ltd, company number 16319387) uses cookies and similar technologies on https://www.matchymatch.co.uk. It complements our Privacy Policy and our Terms of Service.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow the site to remember your actions and preferences (sign-in state, language, recent choices) so you don't have to re-enter them on every page. Some technologies similar to cookies (local storage, session storage, web beacons) are covered by this policy too.
Your choices and consent
When you first visit MatchyMatch, our cookie banner asks for your consent before any non-essential cookies are set. You can:
- Accept all — allow analytics and marketing cookies.
- Reject all non-essential — only strictly necessary cookies will be set.
- Customise — turn analytics and marketing on or off independently.
Your choices are stored on your device and applied on every future visit. You can change your mind any time by clearing the matchymatch_uk_cookie_consent entry in your browser's local storage, which will make the banner reappear, or by emailing us at privacy@matchymatch.co.uk.
Lawful basis for non-essential cookies is your consent under PECR (Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003) and UK GDPR. Strictly necessary cookies do not require consent.

Third parties we work with
Some cookies are set by third-party services we use to operate MatchyMatch. Each has its own privacy and cookie policy:
- Firebase (Google) — authentication, database, hosting. Google's privacy policy.
- Stripe — payment processing. Stripe's privacy policy.
- Google Analytics 4 — site analytics. Google's privacy policy.
- SendGrid (Twilio) — transactional email. Does not set cookies on this site; only used server-side. Twilio's privacy policy.
- Vercel — hosting. Vercel's privacy policy.
How to control cookies in your browser
On top of our in-site banner, every modern browser lets you view, manage and delete cookies directly. Look in your browser's settings under "Privacy", "Site settings" or "Cookies". Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent core features (such as signing in) from working.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time, for example when we add or remove a third party. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be notified via the banner or email.
